Xiaomi has introduced its all-electric sedan, the Xiaomi SU7, in India during an event celebrating the company’s tenth anniversary. The SU7, already available in China, marks Xiaomi’s ambitious entry into the automotive and electric vehicle (EV) markets. Initially unveiled globally in December 2023, the SU7 represents a significant milestone for the tech giant.

Xiaomi SU7 Range and Battery Pack Details
The showcased model in India, the SU7 Max, boasts a dual-motor setup producing an impressive 664 bhp and 838 Nm of torque. This power allows the sedan to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 2.78 seconds and reach 200 km/h in 10.67 seconds. With a top speed of 265 km/h, the SU7 Max is a high-performance EV. The 101 kWh battery pack offers a remarkable range of up to 800 kilometers (CLTC). Xiaomi highlights the vehicle’s rapid charging capabilities, with the ability to regain 220 km of range in just five minutes and 510 km in fifteen minutes using an ultra-fast charger.
Design and Interior
The SU7 is designed for aerodynamics, featuring a drag coefficient of 0.195 Cd, making it one of the most aerodynamic cars globally. Inside, the car features a minimalist design with a 16.1-inch 3K touchscreen on the dashboard, a digital instrument display, a head-up display, and touchscreens for rear passengers. The SU7 operates on Xiaomi’s proprietary ‘HyperOS’, which boots up in just 1.49 seconds after the driver opens the door.
Safety and Technology
Safety is a priority for Xiaomi, equipping the SU7 with seven airbags and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) that use lidar and high-definition cameras. Additionally, Xiaomi demonstrated the car’s fully automated valet parking feature during the event.
