Tata Motors is making a grand entry into the mid-size segment with the Curvv, which will be available with both petrol and diesel engine options. This coupe SUV will offer two turbocharged petrol engines: the familiar 1.2-litre engine from the Nexon and a brand-new 1.2-litre TGDi turbo engine. Additionally, a 1.5-litre diesel engine will also be available. All engine variants will come with a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Notably, the combination of a DCT with the diesel engine marks a first in the mass-market segment in India. The Tata Curvv is set to hit the market on September 2, 2024.

Mercedes-Benz is set to launch its flagship EV SUV, the Mercedes-Maybach EQS SUV, on September 5, 2024. This luxury SUV, which made its debut in China last year, will be available in India with the top-spec 680 version. Powered by a 108.4 kWh battery with twin motors, the EQS SUV delivers 658 bhp and 950 Nm of torque, offering an impressive range of around 600 km. The interior is opulent, featuring rear passenger seats with two 11.6-inch displays and an MBUX tablet for control. The EQS SUV promises a blend of power, luxury, and cutting-edge technology.

Hyundai Alcazar Facelift

Hyundai is all set to launch the facelifted Alcazar on September 9, 2024. The three-row SUV will come with significant design upgrades inspired by the Creta, along with a fully revamped cabin. The Alcazar will feature dual 10.25-inch screens, new seats, and ventilated seats in the 6-seater version for both the first and second rows. It will also come with Level 2 ADAS for enhanced safety. The SUV will be powered by a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine and a 1.5-litre diesel engine, with multiple transmission options, including a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed dual-clutch for the petrol variant, and a 6-speed manual or automatic for the diesel variant

MG Windsor EV

JSW MG is gearing up to launch its third electric vehicle, the Windsor EV, this month. Scheduled for launch on 11 September Positioned between the Comet EV and the ZS EV, this crossover is expected to offer premium features like a glass roof, automatic LED headlights, 18-inch alloy wheels, and an electric tailgate. Inside, the Windsor EV boasts a 15.6-inch infotainment system, a 360-degree camera, and plush seating options, including a sofa-like rear bench with a 135-degree recline. It will be powered by a 50.3 kWh battery, delivering an estimated range of 460 km. The single motor on the front axle produces 134 bhp and 200 Nm of torque, making it a strong contender in the electric vehicle market.
