Tata Motor Punch record sales of 19,158 Units whereas Maruti Suzuki WagonR sold 17,850 Units.
Tata Motors compact SUV Punch is on top consecutively in second month by selling 19,158 Units and unexpectedly Maruti Suzuki WagonR and Breeza must satisfy on 2nd and 3rd position by reported sale of 17,850 and 17,113 units. Maruti Suzuki is one of the largest automakers in India and always on the top of the chart but now no more on the top.
The Tata’s Mini SUV Punch has emerged as most selling in Indian Car Industry ahead of Maruti Suzuki popular models like WagonR , Swift and Breeza.
Tata Motors March’24 Sales:
In the month of March Tata Punch recorded sale of 17,547 units whereas 16,368 units of WagonR were sold and stood third on the chart. In March even most popular Hyundai Creta stood second with sale record of 16,458 units according to sources number from Industry analysts.
This change in number show the Tata Motors over past few years moved up to emerge as India’s 3rd largest automaker after Maruti Suzuki and Hyundai. Tata Motors has revived the models like Punch, Nexon, Tiago and Altroz.
As a miracle Tata has defeated the Hyundai and positioned on second number in FY24. On which is predicted the Tata is all its way to become 2nd largest automaker of India considering the aggressive launches of new cars and dominance into electric vehicle space.
The Popular Tata Punch is offered in Petrol , CNG and electric . The petrol version starts at a price of Rs 6.1 Lakh(Ex-showroom) , The CNG version at price of Rs. 7.23 Lakh(Ex-showroom) and electric at price of 11 Lakh(ex-showroom) and also the Tata Punch EV has been the car of the 2024 Indian Premier League (IPL). This factor is also one the reason to get boast to the sale for Punch.
As Tata Motors dominating the 1st position doesn’t mean the Maruti is out of the race in March 24 out of 10 car 6 were of Maruti Suzuki who was hitting the chart and this month it went to 7 car out of 10 in the list.
Maruti Suzuki is understand the traction in the retail market and accordingly adjust the production aligning with waiting period for individual for car, which impact the sales of certain car, say experts.
