Tata Altroz Racer is set to launch in mid-June and will compete with Hyundai i20 N Line.
Tata Motors has released a teaser for its highly anticipated Altroz Racer, offering a glimpse of what’s to come. Scheduled for a mid-June debut in India, this performance-focused hatchback is set to rival the Hyundai i20 N Line. While many details have already been revealed, such as its powertrain and features, the official start of bookings is expected to be announced shortly.
Tata Altroz Racer Powertrain:
One of the key attractions of the Tata Altroz Racer is its range of powertrain options. The model will be equipped with a 1.2-liter turbocharged petrol engine paired with a six-speed manual gearbox. This engine is expected to deliver an impressive 118bhp and 170Nm of peak torque, putting it on par with the Hyundai i20 N Line’s 1.0-liter turbo engine.
Interior and Key Features:
Initially showcased at the Auto Expo 2023 and later at the Bharat Mobility Show 2024, the hatchback promises a host of features. These include a spacious 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless smartphone connectivity, multiple drive modes, a digital instrument cluster, wireless charger, automatic climate control, ventilated front seats, and an electrically adjustable sunroof. Inside, the Altroz Racer will showcase a black and red theme with white accents, further enhancing its athletic personality.
Tata Altroz Racer Exterior Design:
To distinguish itself from the standard Altroz, the Racer edition will boast a distinctive design. Expect a blacked-out hood, roof, ORVMs, pillars, and alloy wheels. The roof and hood will also feature twin white stripes, adding to the hatchback’s sporty appeal.
Expected Price, Launch Date and Rivals:
The Tata Altroz Racer is expected to be priced between Rs 8 – 10 Lakh. Can launch between 10-15 June. The hatchback will rival with Hyundai i20 N line which costs Rs. 11.42 lakh (Ex-Showroom).
