Porsche Macan EV Variants in India
Porsche has launched two new variants of the Macan EV in India, adding more options for luxury electric SUV buyers. The new variants include an entry-level rear-wheel drive (RWD) model and a mid-level 4S variant. The entry-level Macan EV is priced at ₹1.23 crore, making it the most affordable in the lineup, while the 4S variant is priced at ₹1.39 crore. Additionally, the price of the Turbo trim has been increased from ₹1.65 crore to ₹1.69 crore.
Porsche Macan EV Powertrain
The entry-level Macan EV features a single rear-mounted electric motor, marking Porsche’s first RWD SUV. This motor produces 360hp and 563Nm of torque, allowing the vehicle to accelerate from 0-100kph in just 5.7 seconds and reach a top speed of 220kph. The mid-level Macan 4S EV, equipped with two electric motors, delivers a combined 516hp and 820Nm of torque, enabling it to sprint from 0-100kph in 4.1 seconds and achieve a top speed of 240kph.
Porsche Macan EV Design and Features
Porsche has also introduced new features across the Macan EV lineup. These include a new Slate Grey Neo exterior color option and optional 20-inch Macan S alloy wheels. An optional off-road design package is available for all variants, enhancing the approach angle and increasing ground clearance by 10mm.
All three variants of the Macan EV come with a 100kWh battery pack. The range varies by model, with the entry-level variant offering the highest range of up to 641km on a single charge. The Macan 4S EV achieves a range of 606km, while the Turbo trim offers 591km. Thanks to the 800V charging architecture based on the PPE platform, the Macan EV can be charged from 10% to 80% in just 21 minutes using a suitable fast charger.
Macan EV Rivals
The Porsche Macan EV competes with other luxury electric SUVs such as the Audi Q8 e-tron, Mercedes EQE SUV, and BMW iX. Bookings for the new variants are now open, and deliveries are expected to begin later this year.
