MG Windsor EV Battery and Range

The Windsor EV, internationally known as the Wuling Cloud EV, comes with two battery pack options in other markets: a 37.9kWh and a 50.6kWh, offering a range of 360km and 460km, respectively. The vehicle is powered by a front-axle-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor that delivers 134hp. While the specific battery options for the Indian market are yet to be confirmed, these specifications indicate that the Windsor EV is built for both city and long-distance driving.

MG Windsor EV Design and Features

The Windsor EV blends the design elements of a large hatchback and an MPV, with a length of approximately 4.3 meters and a wheelbase of 2,700mm. Although its stance and shape resemble that of an MPV, it will only be available in a 5-seat configuration. Inside, the EV is equipped with a large floating touchscreen, minimal physical buttons, and a suite of features that enhance comfort and convenience. These include rear AC vents, a three-passenger rear seat with three-point seat belts for all occupants, a rear center armrest, and faux leather seats with distinctive honeycomb pattern stitching. The rear seats can recline up to 135 degrees, ensuring a comfortable ride for all passengers.

MG Windsor EV Price and Rivals

Priced under Rs 20 lakh, the MG Windsor EV will be a more affordable alternative to the ZS EV in MG Motor India’s lineup. It will directly compete with the likes of Tata Nexon EV, Mahindra XUV400, and the newly launched Tata Curvv EV. With its competitive pricing, robust features, and impressive range, the Windsor EV is poised to capture significant attention in the growing Indian EV market.
