The new MG Strom edition are available in both 2WD and 4WD.
In early May 2024, MG India celebrated its 100th anniversary by launching special editions of some of its popular models. While the Comet, Hector, ZS EV, and Astor received special editions, the Gloster SUV did not initially get one. However, MG has now introduced two special editions of the Gloster: Snowstorm and Desertstorm, priced at Rs 41.05 lakh (ex-showroom, India). These editions focus on cosmetic changes, adding to the existing lineup which includes Blackstorm.
MG Gloster Snowstorm Edition: What’s New?
The Gloster Snowstorm Edition features a striking white and black exterior finish with red accents. The predominantly white body is complemented by black elements like the front grille, spoiler, alloy wheels, wing mirrors, fog lamp, and fender garnish. Adding to the sporty look, the front fender, wing mirrors, and headlamps feature eye-catching red accents.
Inside, the Snowstorm Edition offers a luxurious experience with black upholstery and red stitching on the steering wheel. This edition is available exclusively in the 6-seater configuration, ensuring ample space and comfort for passengers.
MG Gloster Desertstorm Edition: What’s New?
The Desertstorm Edition of the MG Gloster features a striking golden exterior paint scheme, similar to the one seen on the Mahindra Thar Earth Edition. The headlamps are accented with red, and there are several black elements such as alloy wheels, front grille, wing mirrors, and roof rails, similar to the Snowstorm edition.
Inside, the Desertstorm Edition continues the theme with a black interior and white stitching, adding a touch of elegance. It is available in both 6 and 7-seater configurations, catering to different needs of space and comfort.
MG Gloster Features and Powertrain
The Gloster SUV comes equipped with a range of features aimed at enhancing comfort and safety. These include a dual panoramic sunroof, an adjustable driver’s seat with massage and ventilation functions, and an advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) that includes features like forward collision warning and automatic emergency braking.
Both the Snowstorm and Desertstorm editions of the Gloster are available in 2WD and 4WD options. They are powered by a 2.0-litre diesel engine that produces 163hp and 375Nm of torque in the 2WD configuration, and 218hp and 480Nm of torque in the 4WD configuration.
