Mercedes-Benz India is set to announce the prices for the highly anticipated Mercedes-Maybach EQS electric SUV on September 5. The Mercedes-Maybach EQS SUV, which debuted in China last year, will be the brand’s flagship electric SUV globally. It will join the Mercedes-Maybach GLS SUV in India’s luxury lineup. This model stands out with Maybach-specific design, features, and technology upgrades that distinguish it from the standard EQS SUV.

Mercedes-Maybach EQS Exterior Design
The Maybach EQS SUV sports unique exterior design elements that include chrome highlights, a sealed-off black panel at the front mimicking a grille with radar sensors for ADAS, and vertical chrome strips creating a 3D effect. The upper part of this faux grille features the “Maybach” lettering in chrome. On the sides, additional chrome accents adorn the window line and B-pillar, while the D-pillar flaunts the Maybach logo. Wheel options include 21- or 22-inch alloy and forged wheels with Maybach lettering. The SUV also features illuminated running boards finished in anodized aluminum.
Mercedes-Maybach EQS Interior Design and Features
Inside, the Maybach EQS SUV offers a luxurious experience with a dashboard that includes three screens featuring Maybach-specific graphics. The rear seat entertainment package includes two 11.6-inch displays on the front seatbacks and an MBUX tablet that can be used both inside and outside the vehicle. These features, combined with exclusive animated displays in Maybach mode, create a premium interior environment.
Mercedes-Maybach EQS Powertrain
The top-spec 680 variant of the Maybach EQS SUV will be available in India, equipped with the 4Matic AWD system. It boasts an impressive 658hp and 950Nm of torque, delivering a range of up to 600km (WLTP). The SUV can accelerate from 0-100kph in just 4.4 seconds and has a top speed of 210kph. Globally, the Maybach EQS also comes in the 580 4Matic variant, with 544hp and a range of up to 456km. More details about the Mercedes-Maybach EQS SUV will be revealed as the launch date approaches.
