Lamborghini Huracan successor is likely to be called ‘Temerario’ which means reckless.
Lamborghini is all set to launch the successor to the Huracan, named the Lamborghini Temerario (codenamed: 634), later this year. Exclusive spy shots from motor.es provide a sneak peek into the exciting design and features of this junior supercar. The Temerario will replace the Huracan’s naturally aspirated V10 with a powerful 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 plug-in hybrid. Lamborghini promises that this will be the most powerful and highest-revving V8 ever in a production car.
Key Highlights:
- 900hp+ Plug-in Hybrid V8: The Temerario will feature a robust 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 plug-in hybrid engine.
- Inspired by Revuelto: The design is heavily influenced by Lamborghini’s flagship Revuelto.
- End-of-Year Release: Expected to be available for purchase before the end of this year.
- Spy Shots Insight: Camouflaged photos reveal new bumper designs, headlamps, tail lamps, and sculpted doors.
- Advanced Powertrain: The engine produces 800hp and 730Nm of torque, with a combined power likely exceeding 900hp.
Lamborghini Temerario: Design Revelations
Despite being heavily camouflaged, the spy shots reveal some striking features of the Lamborghini Temerario. The front and rear bumpers, headlamps, tail lamps, and the sculpted doors and fenders stand out. The design seems to be a significant departure from the Huracan, aligning more closely with the flagship Revuelto. The overall silhouette still embodies Lamborghini’s ‘spaceship’ design ethos.
Lamborghini Temerario Engine and Specifications
The Temerario’s 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged PHEV V8 engine is set to produce 800hp and 730Nm of torque, significantly outperforming the Huracan’s V10. With a 10,000rpm redline, this engine is closer to those found in race cars. The powertrain, developed exclusively in Sant’Agata, Italy, includes a lightweight, axial-flux electric motor integrated ahead of the 8-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox, adding up to 150hp and 300Nm of torque to the rear axle. The total combined power output is expected to be over 900hp.
Lamborghini will produce the Huracan successor on the same production line as the Revuelto. This is the first time both supercars will be built in series on the same line, thanks to shared architectural and electrical components.
Lamborghini Temerario Expected Launch Date and Price:
As of now, there is no exact date revealed by the company but the Temerario can be launched by end of this year. The expected price can be around Rs.3 – 3.5 Crore in India.
