The Kia’s All-Electric Compact SUV range is up to 600 Km.
Kia has officially revealed its entry-level all-electric SUV, the EV3, on a global scale. This five-seater SUV will be available in two versions – Standard and GT-Line – and will come in nine exterior color options. The EV3’s design is reminiscent of the flagship EV9 SUV, promising class-leading cabin space, features, and driving range.
Kia EV3 Exterior:
The exterior of the Kia EV3 features the signature Kia EV design, with a blanked-off grille, L-shaped LED DRLs blending into the tiger-nose inspired fascia, cubical-shaped LED headlamps, and wide air inlets in the lower bumper. The overall design mirrors that of the flagship EV9 SUV.
On the sides, the EV3 boasts squared-off wheel arches, blacked-out alloy wheels with white inserts, blacked-out pillars, flush-fitting front door handles, and C-pillar-mounted rear door handles. At the rear, the Kia EV3 showcases L-shaped LED taillamps extending on both ends, a sizable bumper with black cladding, roof spoiler, shark-fin antenna, reverse parking camera with sensors, and a panoramic sunroof. Notably, the SUV will be available in nine color options, including two exclusive colors – Aventurine Green and Terracotta.
Kia EV3 Interior:
Inside, the EV3’s cabin is loaded with features, including a three-spoke steering wheel with an off-set Kia logo, twin 12.3-inch displays for the infotainment and instrument panel, a floating center console with storage, 360-degree surround camera, dual-zone climate control, ambient lighting, wireless charger, auto-dimming IRVM, and an ADAS suite. The Kia EV3 offers 460 liters of boot space and a 25-liter frunk.
Customers can choose from interior colors inspired by air, earth, and water elements, such as Subtle Grey, Warm Grey, blue, and an exclusive Onyx Black for the GT-Line trim.
Kia EV3 Dimension and Powertrain:
Measuring 4,300mm in length, 1,850mm in width, and 1,560mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,680mm, the Kia EV3 is based on the brand’s E-GMP architecture with a front-wheel drivetrain. It offers two battery pack options – a 58.3kWh and an 81.4kWh unit – with a maximum driving range of up to 600km (WLTP-cycle). The battery pack can be charged from 10 to 80 percent in just 31 minutes. With 283Nm of peak torque, the EV3 can accelerate from zero to 100kmph in just 7.5 seconds.
Kia EV3 Expected Price and Launch in India:
Kia EV3 is expected to be priced at around Rs. 20 Lakh. As of now, the automaker has not revealed a launch plan in India but it’s expected to be launched in first half of 2025 after the European launch in July 2024.
