Honda Launches the NX500 Adventure Bike in India: A New Era in Riding Experience Unveiled

Just day after we reported that Pre-Booking started for NX500, Now, Honda has officially introduced the much-anticipated NX500 in India, setting the introductory price at Rs 5.90 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Crafted with precision, the NX500 features a diamond frame suspended by a USD fork and preload-adjustable monoshock, both skillfully engineered by Showa. Weighing in at 196 kg, the NX500 is 3kg lighter than its predecessor, the CB500X. Nissin takes charge of braking duties, employing axial calipers on twin 296mm discs at the front, and a single 240mm disc at the rear, complemented by the standard dual-channel ABS. The adventure bike rides on cast alloy wheels, with a 19-inch front and a 17-inch rear.

One notable upgrade from the previous CB500X is the inclusion of a 5-inch TFT dash in the NX500. The modern dashboard supports smartphone pairing, enabling riders to receive navigation data and notifications seamlessly. Additionally, the NX500 comes with a switchable traction control system, enhancing control and safety.

Under the hood, the NX500 boasts a formidable liquid-cooled, 471cc, parallel-twin engine, delivering a robust 47.5hp and 43Nm of torque. This powerful motor is seamlessly paired with a 6-speed gearbox featuring a slip and assist clutch, ensuring a thrilling and responsive riding experience.

The Honda NX500, available in three striking colors – white, black, and red, is set to redefine the adventure biking landscape.

Priced at Rs 5.90 lakh, the Honda NX500 positions itself in the market alongside premium counterparts like the Kawasaki Versys 650 (Rs 7.77 lakh). It differentiates itself from its competitors, such as the Royal Enfield Himalayan (Rs 2.85 lakh-2.98 lakh, ex-showroom, Chennai) and the KTM 390 Adventure (Rs 2.81 lakh-3.61 lakh), offering a distinctive blend of power, technology, and style.

Excitement is already building, with bookings open at all HondaBigWing dealers. The first set of deliveries is scheduled to commence in February 2024, promising riders a new level of adventure on the Honda NX500.
