Lamborghini Temerario Powertrain

The Lamborghini Temerario introduces a new era of electrified power, with a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V-8 engine built from scratch. This V-8 features a 90-degree “Hot V” configuration, a flat-plane crankshaft, and two turbochargers capable of producing 36 psi of pressure. To keep weight low, Lamborghini utilized cast aluminum alloy cylinder heads and titanium connecting rods. The engine is designed to rev up to 10,000 rpm, aided by Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) coated finger followers in the valvetrain.

Complementing the V-8 are three axial-flux electric motors. The rear motor is positioned between the engine and the eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox, contributing 150 hp and 221 pound-feet of torque. The front axle is driven by two additional motors, each generating 82 hp, making the Temerario an all-wheel-drive beast with an available “Drift Mode” for rear-wheel fun.

Battery and Charging Capabilities

The Temerario’s hybrid system includes a 3.8-kilowatt-hour battery pack, which can be recharged in just 30 minutes using a traditional AC charging port. Regenerative braking or direct charging from the V-8 engine can recharge the battery in as little as 6 minutes. While the Temerario can run on electric power alone, Lamborghini has not disclosed the exact electric driving range.

Lamborghini Temerario Aerodynamic Mastery and Design

Visually, the Lamborghini Temerario blends elements from its predecessors, featuring slimmer headlights and hexagonal LED running lights. Its staggered wheels—20 inches in the front and 21 inches in the rear—are available in forged or carbon-fiber options. The larger aerodynamic vent ahead of the rear wheels enhances downforce by 103% compared to the Huracán Evo.

The Alleggerita package, offered at launch, takes the Temerario’s performance to the next level with a larger rear wing, unique bumper treatments, and carbon fiber rims, boosting downforce by 158% and reducing weight by 55 pounds. Adding the Carbon Pack sheds an additional 4 pounds through strategic use of carbon fiber components.

Advanced Chassis and Interior Comfort

The Temerario features a new lightweight aluminum chassis, replacing the Huracán’s mixed aluminum and carbon-fiber structure. This innovation results in a 50% reduction in material use, 80% fewer heat-welded joints, and a 20% increase in torsional rigidity.

Inside, the Temerario offers a cockpit-style cabin with hexagonal design elements, improved headroom by 1.3 inches, and additional legroom of up to 1.8 inches. Even tall drivers can comfortably wear a helmet while driving this supercar. The interior is equipped with an 8.4-inch vertical touchscreen in the center console, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster for the driver, and a 9.1-inch display for the passenger.
