BMW CE 02: Battery Pack and Power

The CE 02 is powered by two compact 1.96kWh batteries that combine to form a total capacity of 3.92kWh, delivering a peak output of 11kW (15hp) and 55Nm of torque. This positions it as an electric alternative to 200cc motorcycles. Weighing in at 142kg, the CE 02 provides a powerful punch while remaining accessible for urban commuters, particularly those with a shorter height, thanks to its 745mm seat height.

BMW CE 02: Range, Top Speed and Driving Modes

BMW claims the CE 02 can cover a range of up to 108 km on a single charge, with a top speed of 95 kph. Riders can choose between three riding modes—Flow, Surf, and Flash—each offering different levels of throttle input and regenerative braking. While the riding modes don’t drastically alter performance, they do provide some variety for different riding conditions.

BMW CE 02 Features

The CE 02 also comes packed with premium features, especially in its Highline package. This variant includes a gold anodized USD fork, teal stickering, heated grips, and a tri-colored seat. The Highline pack also offers a smartphone holder that pairs with BMW’s app, allowing riders to use their phone as an extension to the bike’s 3.5-inch TFT display.

Currently available in a single color, the CE 02 also offers optional accessories such as luggage options and visors. It has no direct competitors in the market, but its price point places it against the likes of the Ultraviolette F77 Mach 2, which offers more performance at a lower cost.

While it may come with a premium price tag, the BMW CE 02 is designed for those who seek style, performance, and advanced technology in their electric two-wheeler. Its sleek design, robust features, and local production make it an appealing option for urban commuters.
