Royal Enfield has officially teased its upcoming 450cc roadster named the ‘Guerrilla 450.’ The Chennai-based bike maker confirmed that the new model will make its global debut on July 17, 2024, in Barcelona, Spain. The announcement came through multiple social media posts on Royal Enfield’s official handles, creating a buzz among motorcycle enthusiasts worldwide.

Spy shots of the Guerrilla 450 have been circulating for almost two years. The new roadster is based on the same platform as the new-gen Royal Enfield Himalayan 450. The teaser images provide a glimpse of the bike’s design, showcasing a blend of classic Royal Enfield elements and new features.
Guerrilla 450 Design and Features
The Guerrilla 450 retains signature Royal Enfield styling cues like a round headlamp, an off-set circular instrument console, and round rear-view mirrors. However, it introduces several new components, including a chiselled fuel tank, floating tail section, single-piece seat, split grab rails, underbelly bash plate, and a stubby exhaust muffler similar to the Himalayan 450.
In terms of features, the off-set instrument cluster could be either a part-digital LCD unit or a fully digital TFT unit, similar to the Himalayan. Other expected features include Bluetooth connectivity, LED headlights, LED indicators, multiple ride modes, and a USB charging port.
Guerrilla 450 Hardware Specifications
The bike is expected to have 17-inch alloy wheels both at the front and rear, fitted with block-pattern tyres. The teaser images reveal telescopic forks at the front and a preload adjustable rear monoshock. Braking will be managed by disc brakes at both the front and rear.
Guerrilla 450 Powertrain Specifications
The Guerrilla 450 will be powered by the same 452cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled Sherpa series engine found in the Himalayan 450. In the adventure tourer, this engine produces 39 bhp at 8,000 rpm and peak torque of 40 Nm at 5,500 rpm. However, the roadster might receive different tuning, offering slightly varied outputs. It will feature a 6-speed gearbox with a slip and assist clutch.
Guerrilla 450 Expected Price
The Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 is expected to be priced slightly lower than its adventure sibling, the Himalayan 450. The anticipated price range is around Rs 2.30 – 2.40 lakh (ex-showroom).
