Bentley unveils the Bentayga S Black Edition, featuring black-tinted wings, striking accent colors, and enhanced chassis technology. Learn about the SUV’s design, performance, and hybrid variant in this detailed report.

Bentley Motors has launched its most visually striking SUV yet, the Bentayga S Black Edition, featuring black-tinted wings for the first time in 105 years. This special edition combines vibrant accent colors, deep black detailing, and advanced chassis technology, showcasing the darker side of the Bentayga.

Bentayga S Black Edition Colour Accent:

Mandarin, Signal Yellow, Klein Blue, Pillar Box Red, Ice, Hyper Green, and Beluga. Each color creates a cohesive design both inside and out, contrasting with the stealthy black treatments throughout the vehicle.

Bentayga S Dark Edition Exterior:

Externally, a laser-like stripe on the Styling Specification body kit, below the front bumper and side sills, and across the top of the rear spoiler, adds a distinctive touch. Brake calipers are color-matched, enhancing the bold look of the 22” black-painted wheels. All exterior brightware is replaced with gloss black versions, including the Bentley Wings and lettering, a first in Bentley’s 105-year history. The exterior is completed with a Black Edition badge on the rear D pillar.

Earlier this year, the Bentayga range received several new features, enhancing its appeal. With the exterior remaining fresh, customization options have expanded with seven new satin paints, an additional exterior color, and a new 21” wheel option in three finishes. The driver and passenger experience has also been prioritized, with new chassis technology, electrical architecture, and additional features, including a reprofiled front radiator grille. All-wheel steering, introduced at the launch of Bentayga Extended Wheelbase, has improved handling and maneuverability, reducing the turning circle by nearly 1m, and is now standard on both the Bentayga Azure and ‘S’ V8 models.

Bentayga S Black Edition:

The Bentayga S Black Edition features a unique interior color layout, contrasting rich Beluga leather with bright accent colors. This theme extends to the handcrafted cabin, with contrast stitching, piping, and accent-colored leather trim creating a visually striking effect. Each seat is embroidered with a black ‘S’ emblem.

A new carbon fiber weave has been used on the fascia, center console, and waistrails, adding visual depth. The Dark Chrome pack is standard, replacing bright chrome interior metal detailing with gloss black equivalents.

The SUV offers three audio systems, starting with the Bentley Signature Audio system. The Bang & Olufsen for Bentley system provides even higher sound quality, featuring illuminated speaker grilles, while the Naim for Bentley system offers the ultimate automotive sound quality.

Bentayga S Black Edition Powertrain:

The Bentayga S Black Edition is powered by Bentley’s 4.0-liter, twin-scroll turbocharged V8 petrol engine, delivering 542 bhp (550 PS) and 568 lb.ft. (770 Nm) of torque. It accelerates from 0-60 mph (0–100 km/h) in 4.4 (4.5) seconds, with a top speed of 180 mph (290 km/h) and a range of 406 miles (654 km), emitting 296 g/km of CO2.

Enhanced agility is achieved through Electronic All-Wheel Steering, which complements Bentley Dynamic Ride for maximum stability and comfort. The SPORT mode offers improved steering feel, turn-in response, and reduced body-roll, with a recalibrated Torque Vectoring by Brake system for more responsiveness.

The Bentayga S Black Edition also offers a hybrid variant, the Bentayga S Hybrid Black Edition, featuring a combined output of 462 PS (456 bhp) and a zero to 62 mph (100 km/h) time of 5.3 seconds. It provides a more engaging drive, with sound enhancements in Sport mode to complement the V6 TFSi engine’s sporty character.
