Bajaj has finally launched the highly anticipated Bajaj Freedom 125 CNG, the world’s first CNG motorcycle. The prices start at Rs 95,000 (ex-showroom India) and go up to Rs 1.10 lakh for the top variant. Here’s everything you need to know about this unique offering.

Bajaj Freedom 125 CNG: Features and Specifications

Engine and Performance

The Bajaj Freedom 125 CNG is powered by a 125cc single-cylinder engine, producing 9.5hp at 8,000rpm and 9.7Nm at 6,000rpm. This motorcycle can run on either CNG or petrol at the flip of a switch. The petrol tank has a capacity of 2 litres, with a milage of 65 km/litre while the CNG tank holds 2kg of gas, with a offering a milage of 102 km/kg. 

Design and Build

Bajaj has embraced a minimalist yet rugged design for the Freedom 125. It features a full LED headlight and taillight, along with halogen indicators. The instrument cluster is a monochrome LCD display with Bluetooth connectivity. The Freedom 125 measures 785 mm in length and 825 mm in height. It has a ground clearance of 170 mm and a wheelbase of 1340 mm. The CNG tank is cradled in a trellis frame, acting as a protective cage, and the bike has a total weight of 147kg.

Variants and Colors

The Freedom 125 is available in three variants: Disc LED, Drum LED, and Drum. Bajaj offers seven dual-tone color options across all variants. The bike also boasts a 785mm single-piece seat, the longest in its segment.

The Bajaj Freedom 125 has passed 11 safety tests based on industry and Bajaj’s own safety standards. Bajaj plans to export the Freedom 125 to several countries, including Egypt, Tanzania, Colombia, Peru, Bangladesh, and Indonesia.
