The New V-12 Turbo engine will deliver 800 Hp power.
Aston Martin strategically pivoted the all-electric models with the Hybrid-plugin petrol model. And the brand announced a newly refreshed V-12 powerplant for an exclusive model ahead. Now, the automaker is planning to introduce the V12 turbo engine in the flagship luxury sports car Vanquish and also shared a teaser on social media.
The Vanquish was launched in 2001 at the Geneva Motor Show. It was produced between 2001-2007 as the flagship of the marque. The Vanquish was used in the James Bond movie ‘Die Another Day’ in 2002. In 2007 it was directly replaced by the DBS. In 2012 second-generation Vanquish was again introduced, based on a VH Platform similar to the one that underpinned the DB9.
Aston Martin Chief Technical Officer, Roberto Fedeli said: “The V12 engine has long been a symbol of power and prestige, but it is also a statement of engineering passion and technical prowess. With 835PS and 1000Nm of torque, this unparalleled engine represents nothing less than the dawn of a dazzling new V12 era for Aston Martin.”
What to expect from Aston Martin V-12 Engine?
Aston Martin has a legacy of 25 years in the V-12 flagship engine with a masterpiece and true technical leader. The new V-12 engine will power an extraordinary 800 HP with 1000 Nm torque. The result of a re-designed engine, targeting optimization and improvement.
The British automaker has strengthened the cylinder block and conrods, re-designed the cylinder heads incorporating reprofiled camshafts, plus new intake and exhaust ports. Repositioned spark plugs and new higher flowrate fuel injectors deliver optimized combustion for class-leading performance and efficiency gains. In addition, new higher-speed, reduced-inertia turbochargers deliver increased performance and throttle response.
The New V-12 engine will be available only in exclusive and limited available models. Making a bold statement it will be handcrafted year-in-year in a strictly limited number.
