Aston Martin Vantage Unveiled as Official FIA Safety Car of Formula 1® at FORMULA 1® STC SAUDI ARABIAN GRAND PRIX 2024.
Aston Martin has revealed its latest achievement in motorsport innovation with the introduction of the Aston Martin Vantage as the new Official FIA Safety Car of Formula 1®. The highly anticipated debut will take place at the upcoming FORMULA 1® STC SAUDI ARABIAN GRAND PRIX 2024, marking a significant milestone in Aston Martin’s involvement in the world of Formula 1®.
The Aston Martin Vantage has been specially equipped and tuned to meet the demanding requirements of its role as the FIA Safety Car. Powered by a hand-built 4.0 Twin-Turbo V8 engine, the new Vantage delivers an impressive 30% increase in power compared to its predecessor, ensuring it is more than capable of leading the pack of Formula 1® cars around the circuit.
Bernd Mayländer, FIA Safety Car Driver, praised the performance and handling of the new Vantage, highlighting its ability to respond quickly and safely in high-pressure situations. The car features additional underfloor aerodynamics, an extended front splitter, and a rear wing for enhanced downforce, all of which are essential for maintaining control and ensuring the safety of drivers and track personnel during races.

The Aston Martin Vantage will make its debut alongside the DBX707 Medical Car at the FORMULA 1® STC SAUDI ARABIAN GRAND PRIX, where it will be painted in the iconic Aston Martin Racing Green livery. This marks the continuation of Aston Martin’s long-standing partnership with Formula 1® and its commitment to delivering excellence both on and off the track.
