Aprilia Launches RSV4 and Tuono : World Superbike Success

Aprilia Launches SE-09 SBK Numbered Series to Commemorate RSV4’s World Superbike Success.

Aprilia, renowned for its dominance in motorsports, boasts an impressive tally of 54 world titles across various championships. Among its most revered creations is the RSV4, a superbike celebrated worldwide for its performance and design. Originally conceived as a race bike, the RSV4 made its debut in 2008 before blazing onto the World Superbike Championship scene in 2009.

The Aprilia RSV4’s illustrious journey to greatness kicked off on July 26, 2009, when MotoGP legend and reigning world title holder Max Biaggi clinched victory at Brno. This triumph heralded the beginning of the legendary RSV4’s dominance in the World Superbike Championship, culminating in an impressive seven world titles, including three for riders and four for manufacturers. The bike’s track record boasts an astounding 44 wins and 102 podium finishes.

In a fitting tribute to this remarkable legacy, Aprilia has unveiled the SE-09 SBK numbered series, featuring the iconic livery adorning the RSV4 Factory and the Tuono V4 Factory, along with a host of carbon upgrades.

Key among the upgrades is the striking livery, meticulously crafted in Aprilia’s signature colors of red, black, and white, mirroring the original RSV4’s design. Additionally, both models receive carbon front brake air intakes and a carbon front mudguard, enhancing their performance and aesthetics. The progressive numbering of the model is prominently displayed on the fuel tank, further accentuating the limited-edition nature of these machines.

The official launch of the Aprilia RSV4 Factory and Tuono V4 Factory took place at the MotoGP Grand Prix of the Americas in Austin, Texas. The unveiling was conducted by Aprilia’s esteemed team riders, Aleix Espargaro and Maverick Vinales. While these models are destined for global markets, an Indian launch remains uncertain.
