This news follows the cancellation of the 2024 MotoGP India event, which was initially postponed citing weather concerns but ultimately scrapped due to financial issues.
Invest UP had previously secured a deal with Dorna Sports, the rights holder of MotoGP, to host the event in India until 2029. However, with mounting financial challenges, the likelihood of the 2025 event happening seems slim.
