Bharat MotoGP — 2025 Season Also Under Threat

According to a report by Autosport, the 2025 Bharat MotoGP might not take place due to financial difficulties. Invest UP, the Uttar Pradesh government agency responsible for the event’s promotions, is reportedly struggling to raise the necessary funds. This news follows the cancellation of the 2024 MotoGP India event, which was initially postponed citing weather concerns but ultimately scrapped due to financial issues.

Invest UP had previously secured a deal with Dorna Sports, the rights holder of MotoGP, to host the event in India until 2029. However, with mounting financial challenges, the likelihood of the 2025 event happening seems slim. The 2025 season calendar is expected to be finalized soon, with venues like Thailand, Germany, Czechia, and a new track in Hungary already confirmed, making India’s chances even more uncertain.

Autodude India Thought

While the Buddh International Circuit is the designated track for MotoGP in India, the future of the event is in limbo. If the financial hurdles are not addressed soon, India could miss out on hosting another season of this prestigious motorsport event.
