New Kia Carnival Design and Features

The Kia Carnival has been globally facelifted and now adopts Kia’s latest design language. This iteration appears boxier and sharper compared to its predecessor, sold in India until June 2023. The front of the MPV features Kia’s signature ‘Tiger Nose’ grille, surrounded by vertically stacked LED headlamps and L-shaped LED DRLs. For India, the Carnival is equipped with stylish 18-inch alloy wheels.

Kia Carnival Powertrain

Under the hood, the new Kia Carnival is powered by a 2.2-litre, four-cylinder diesel engine that produces 193hp and 441Nm of torque. While the torque output is slightly higher than the previous model, it delivers 7hp less power. The engine is mated to an 8-speed torque converter automatic gearbox, powering the front wheels.

Kia Carnival Launch Date and Expected Pricing

The Kia Carnival is slated for an official launch on October 3. Initially available in two variants—Limousine and Limousine Plus—the MPV is expected to be priced over Rs 50 lakh due to its CBU import status. However, Kia plans to locally assemble the Carnival in the near future, which could lead to a reduction in its price.

Upon its release, the Carnival will sit in a unique price bracket, positioned between the Toyota Innova Hycross (Rs 19.77 lakh to Rs 30.98 lakh) and the Toyota Vellfire (Rs 1.22 crore to Rs 1.32 crore).
