Maruti Suzuki’s CNG Success
Maruti Suzuki continues to lead the Indian market in CNG-powered vehicles. In 2023, the company sold 4.77 lakh CNG cars, and from April to August 2024, it has already sold 2.21 lakh CNG vehicles. The previous-gen Swift saw around 15% of sales from CNG models, and Maruti expects this number to rise with the new Swift CNG due to better fuel efficiency and a broader price range.
Deliveries of the new Swift CNG will begin in Gujarat this weekend, followed by Maharashtra, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, and other states.
