Inside, the Project Maybach offers a versatile and luxurious experience. The cabin is designed as a modular hotel room, with seats that can transform into a first-class flatbed. The interior combines polished aluminium with ultra-soft sandy leather, naturally tanned with coffee shells for an eco-friendly touch. The jacquard houndstooth-finish headrests can be used as blankets, and there are hidden compartments with reading lights. The seats can even be packed up and removed, making them portable. The dashboard seamlessly integrates digital and analogue elements, showcasing the car’s advanced design.
Project Maybach was first unveiled during Miami Art Week on December 1, 2021, as the second collaboration between Wagener and Abloh. The car features innovative elements, including solar cells hidden under its transparent hood, which enhance its range and sustainability.
