Ashok Leyland, the flagship company of the Hinduja Group, has announced a landmark order for 2,104 Viking passenger buses from the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC). Valued at ₹981.45 crore, this is the largest single order received by the state corporation for BSVI OBD II compliant passenger buses.

The order will be executed over a period of one year, from August 2024 to August 2025. This significant contract will bolster Ashok Leyland’s position as a leader in the bus manufacturing sector, reinforcing its dominance in the Indian market and globally.

This order further consolidates Ashok Leyland’s status as one of the top five bus manufacturers globally, demonstrating its strong foothold in both the Indian and international bus markets.
