2024 BMW M2 Performance and Speed
The heart of the new M2 is its more powerful engine. BMW has enhanced the turbocharged 3.0-liter straight-six to produce 480 horsepower, a 20hp increase. Torque has also been boosted by 50Nm, bringing it to 600Nm, available from 2,650 to 6,130rpm. These improvements mean the M2 Coupe with the 8-speed automatic gearbox now sprints from 0 to 100kph in 4 seconds, while the 6-speed manual version takes 4.2 seconds. Both models have improved their 0 to 200kph times by 0.6 seconds, achieving 12.9 seconds for the automatic and 13.7 seconds for the manual.
2024 BMW M2 Design and Features
While the M2’s styling remains largely unchanged, it now offers a broader range of color options, including Sao Paulo Yellow, Fire Red, Portimao Blue, and Skyscraper Grey. The car’s 19-inch front and 20-inch rear wheels feature a sleek double-spoke design in black, with a silver finish option available.
Inside, the M2 Coupe is equipped with a new flat-bottomed steering wheel, which can be optionally finished in Alcantara for a sportier feel. The car also benefits from an updated digital operating system, incorporating BMW’s latest iDrive technology for an enhanced driving experience.
Production and Availability
The M2 will continue to be produced at BMW’s San Luis factory in Mexico, alongside the standard 2 Series Coupe models.
