Audi has updated its all-electric four-door coupe, the Audi E-Tron GT. The latest iteration features mechanical upgrades and comes in three variants: S E-Tron GT, RS E-Tron GT, and RS E-Tron GT Performance, with the latter being the most powerful production car Audi has ever built.

Audi e-tron GT Exterior and Interior Design

The updated Audi E-Tron GT retains its sleek design with each variant featuring unique styling elements. The RS variants boast a sportier look, while the S variant maintains a more mainstream appearance. Inside, the layout remains familiar with minor tweaks like a new steering wheel and seats. An optional panoramic sunroof that turns opaque at the press of a button adds a touch of luxury.

Audi e-Tron GT Powertrain and Performance

The E-Tron GT is equipped with twin electric motors, one on the front axle and one on the rear. Power output varies by variant:

  • S E-Tron GT: 670 bhp, 0-100 kmph in 3.4 seconds, top speed 245 kmph.
  • RS E-Tron GT: 844 bhp, 0-100 kmph in 2.8 seconds, top speed 250 kmph.
  • RS E-Tron GT Performance: 912 bhp, 0-100 kmph in 2.5 seconds, top speed 250 kmph.

The RS models include a boost function for an instant power increase of up to 70 kW.

Audi has reduced the rear electric motor’s weight by 10 kg and strengthened the driveshaft to ensure smooth power distribution. The E-Tron GT also features a larger brake system and comes standard with air suspension incorporating two-chamber/two-valve technology.

Audi e-tron GT Battery and Charging

The E-Tron GT now includes a 105 kWh battery pack, up from the previous 93 kWh. This new battery offers a range of 609 km (WLTP). The maximum charging power has increased to 320 kW, allowing the battery to fast-charge from 10 to 80 percent in just 18 minutes under ideal conditions. Despite the larger capacity, the battery weight is reduced by 9 kg, now weighing 625 kg.

Price and Availability In India:

The outgoing Audi E-Tron GT is currently available in India, priced between Rs 1.72 crore and Rs 1.95 crore (ex-showroom). The updated model is expected to arrive in India soon.
