The Tata Punch EV has set a new benchmark in safety, earning a 5-star rating in the Bharat NCAP (BNCAP) crash tests for both adult occupant protection (AOP) and child occupant protection (COP). The tests were conducted in April 2024, and the results apply to all variants of the Punch EV. This achievement places the Punch EV as the highest-rated car by BNCAP, surpassing models like the Tata Harrier, Safari, and Nexon EV.

For child occupant protection, the Punch EV excelled with 45 points out of a maximum of 49. It scored 23.95 out of 24 in dynamic tests, a perfect 12 out of 12 in the child seat restraint segment, and 9 out of 13 in vehicle assessment.
