Tata Altroz Racer Pricing and Variants
The Altroz Racer is available in three trims: R1, R2, and R3. Here’s a breakdown of the prices:
Tata Altroz Racer Engine and Specifications
The Altroz Racer is powered by a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder, turbo-petrol engine, which now produces 120hp and 170Nm of torque – an increase of 10hp and 30Nm from the previous iTurbo version. This engine is paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox, providing a more engaging driving experience compared to the 5-speed manual in the iTurbo. The Altroz Racer also features a sportier exhaust system, although it lacks suspension or steering upgrades that its competitors like the i20 N Line offer.
Tata Altroz Racer Exterior Design
Tata Motors has given the Altroz Racer several exterior updates to enhance its sporty appeal. It comes in three color options: Atomic Orange, Avenue White, and Pure Grey. All these options feature a contrasting black finish with white racing stripes on the bonnet and roof, creating a floating effect. The car also sports ‘Racer’ badging on the front fenders and a slightly revised grille, though it retains the 16-inch alloy wheels from the standard model.
Tata Altroz Racer Interior and Features
Inside, the Altroz Racer boasts significant upgrades. It features a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen with a new, smoother operating system, a 7.0-inch digital instrument cluster, and segment-first ventilated front seats. Additional features include a 360-degree camera, a voice-assisted sunroof, six airbags, and electronic stability control (ESC). The interior also gets cosmetic enhancements like red highlights around the AC vents and gear lever, as well as new leatherette upholstery with contrast stitching.
Tata Altroz Racer Competition
The Altroz Racer’s main competitor is the Hyundai i20 N Line, priced between Rs 9.99 lakh and Rs 12.52 lakh. Another close rival is the Maruti Fronx with its 1.0-litre BoosterJet engine, priced between Rs 9.72 lakh and Rs 13.04 lakh.
With its powerful engine, updated features, and competitive pricing, the Tata Altroz Racer is set to make a significant impact in the sporty hatchback segment.
