Mercedes C300 AMG line and Updated GLS gets advanced features.
Mercedes-Benz has introduced the new C 300 AMG Line in India, priced at Rs 69 lakh, replacing the previous C 300d AMG Line as the top model in the C-Class lineup. The luxury carmaker has also updated features across the C-Class range and the GLC SUV in response to a growing preference for petrol variants in the luxury sedan segment.

The C 300 AMG Line is priced competitively, just about Rs 4 lakh more than BMW’s top-tier 3 Series, the M340i, which offers a more potent 374hp, 3.0-litre six-cylinder turbo-petrol engine. In contrast, the performance-focused C 43 AMG is priced significantly higher at Rs 98.25 lakh.
Mercedes C 300 AMG Engine and Performace:
Powering the new C 300 is a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine producing 258hp and 400Nm of torque. It features an integrated starter generator (ISG) that provides an additional output of 22hp and 205Nm, with an over-boost function offering 27hp of additional power for short durations. Mercedes claims the C 300 can accelerate from 0-100kph in 6 seconds and reach a top speed of 250kph.
Interior and Exterior Features:
The C 300 comes with the AMG Line package, featuring sportier bumpers and various AMG-specific interior touches. It also includes the ‘Night Package’ as standard, providing a blacked-out cabin look. Mercedes is offering the C 300 with Manufaktur colour options like Patagonia Red Bright and Sodalite Blue.
Exclusive features on the C 300 include a Burmester 3D surround sound system, digital lights, augmented reality navigation, blind spot assist, and keyless-go comfort package.
The rest of the C-Class lineup, including the C 200 and C 200d, have also been updated with new features like heated and ventilated front seats, a 360-degree camera, USB-C ports, and adaptive high beam assist. The GLC SUV, Mercedes’ top-selling SUV in India, now also features heated and ventilated front seats and new side rear airbags, bringing the total airbag count to nine.
Mercedes-Benz has made significant updates to its C-Class and GLC SUV lineup, offering more features and options to cater to the evolving preferences of luxury car buyers in India.
