Ducati Scrambler CR24I and RR24I concept bikes at Bike Shed Moto Show in London.
Ducati Scrambler, renowned for its cutting-edge motorcycles, has unveiled two striking new concepts at the Bike Shed Moto Show in London, rekindling excitement among motorbike enthusiasts. The unveiling comes amid speculation about the future of Ducati’s Scrambler series, which has undergone significant changes in recent years.
Originally launched in 2015 with five submodels, including a cafe racer variant, the Scrambler series was streamlined to three models—the Icon, the Full Throttle, and the Nightshift—during the 2023 redesign. Despite concerns from some quarters about the reduced lineup, Ducati has reassured fans by presenting the CR24I and RR24I concepts, promising a fresh take on the iconic Scrambler brand.
Ducati Scrambler CR24I:
The CR24I concept is a modern interpretation of the Cafe Racer, a model discontinued in 2020. It builds upon the sleek design of the original Cafe Racer from 2017, incorporating futuristic elements while paying homage to 1960s motorcycle design. Featuring a narrow, tank-mounted fairing reminiscent of Ducati classics like the Pantah and the 750 SS, the CR24I concept combines vintage aesthetics with a contemporary twist. Key features include a 17-inch front rim, sporting clip-on handlebars, and a convertible saddle that can be transformed into a single-seat unit, reminiscent of classic 1970s sportbikes.
Ducati Scrambler RR24I:
On the other hand, the RR24I model embraces a minimalist, post-apocalyptic look, emphasizing essential motorcycle design elements. Stripped of unnecessary covers, the RR24I features exposed aluminum parts and a frame-replacing tank, allowing riders to attach a tank bag for practicality. The removable pillion seat doubles as a luggage rack, while the high-mounted Termignoni exhaust adds a rugged, tracker-like appearance. With knobby Pirelli Scorpion Rally tires and a high front fender, the RR24I hints at off-road capabilities, appealing to adventurous riders.
Both concepts are based on the second-generation Scrambler platform and showcase Ducati’s commitment to innovative design and customization. While Ducati has not provided details about production plans, the unveiling at the Bike Shed Moto Show has generated excitement among Ducatisti. Motorcycle enthusiasts eagerly await further updates, with speculation suggesting that the CR24I concept could potentially enter production next year. For now, Ducati enthusiasts and the wider motorcycle community can admire these groundbreaking concepts at the London Bike Shed Moto Show from May 24–26, with more details expected to be revealed at the upcoming Intermot Show.
