Ather Rizta spotted uncamouflaged on road. Ritza is second E-scooter after Ather 450.
Few days back Ather Energy shared a reel of water wading test on social media. Rizta was cruised in 400 mm with good stability and control. Rizta will be revealed on 6th April 2024 on the Ather Community Day 2024 in Bengaluru Karnataka. After Ather 450 it will be second e-scooter for Arther and specially aimed as family e-scooter.
Rizta Exterior Design and Features:
The latest pictures also reveal some intriguing details, such as a pillion grab handle with an integrated backrest, although it’s yet to be confirmed if this will be a standard feature or an optional accessory. The scooter is equipped with a digital dashboard, likely to be the same 7.0-inch touchscreen unit found in the 450X model. Other notable features include a telescopic fork, 12-inch alloy wheels, a front disc brake, and a protective cover for the final drive, along with a stylish wraparound LED tail-light. Moreover, the Rizta is expected to offer more underseat storage space compared to the 450 series, which provides 22 litres of storage.
Rizta Battery Pack Details:
While the Rizta retains the mid-drive motor of the 450 series, its peak power output is anticipated to be lower than the 450X model, potentially missing out on the ‘Warp’ ride mode. Details about potential changes to the frame remain scarce, but there are speculations that Ather might opt for a steel frame over aluminium to reduce manufacturing costs.
The Ather 450 lineup currently offers two battery options: a 2.9 kWh pack (available in the 450S and 450X) and a 3.7 kWh pack (exclusive to the 450X). It is speculated that the Ather Rizta may offer both battery options, but there’s also the possibility of introducing a smaller battery to make the scooter more affordable.
Rizta Expected Price and Competitors:
Pricing will be a key factor as Ather prepares to launch the Rizta. The existing 450S and 450X models are priced between Rs 1.26 lakh and Rs 1.55 lakh (ex-showroom, including EMPS subsidy). It will be interesting to see how Ather positions the Rizta within its current model lineup, considering the competitive pricing and the features its predecessors offer.
Rizta competition will not be easy as it has to fight tough against Ola S1 Pro (Rs 1.29 Lakh), TVS iQube Electric (Rs 1.17 Lakh), Bajaj Chetak Electric (Rs 1.15 Lakh), Ola S1X (Rs 79,999).
