The British automaker Morris Garage(MG) recently disclosed the trademark ‘ Excelor EV’ for India. This has made a wind of speculation that MG is planning to launch new EV to India market. At present MG has 2 Ev line-up MG ZS ev and the MG Comet ev.

The trademark was filed by the automaker on 26th December 2023 and it shows ‘Accepted and Advertised’ on the trademark portal.

However, the trademarking name does not suffice the thought of new MG Ev coming to India but the automaker has reversed the name for the future purpose.

There is no any official announcement done by the automaker regarding new launch of the 3rd Ev and no details for powertrain , design or details. But there is news MG will be launching 2 new cars to India and potentially 1 Ev may be badge under “Excelor”.

Upon anticipation MG will be uncovering the future strategy for the Indian market on 20th March 2024. India’s major player JSW has partnered with MG and owned 35 % stake in the British brand. JSW will be a manufacturer partner for MG and set-up a factory in India. Rumors were they are planning to take over Ford factory situated in Chennai but didn’t hear any buzz about it around.
