Kinetic Green launched E-Luna with a slogan “Style Se Bolo Chal Meri Luna” at very competitive price point of Rs.69990.
E-Luna booking started on Republic Day for Rs500 and on Wednesday the automaker has officially launched the electric moped. A beloved moped of the 1970s and 80s, has staged a remarkable comeback, now in an electric avatar. After igniting excitement with pre-bookings, Kinetic Green Energy and Power Solutions has unveiled the e-Luna, priced at Rs 69,990 for the X1 trim and Rs 74,990 for the X2 trim (both ex-showroom Delhi and introductory).
Sulajja Firodia Motwani, Founder and CEO of Kinetic Green, expressed enthusiasm about the e-Luna’s revival, stating, “The E-Luna benefits greatly from the revered ‘Luna’ brand, evoking nostalgia and positivity.” She emphasized its uniqueness, noting, “The E-Luna stands out with its innovative features and attractive pricing, aligning perfectly with the strength of its brand.”
Motwani disclosed impressive figures, with 50,000 units already booked by B2B clients and 30,000 inquiries from B2C customers.
E-Luna Battery, Power and Features:
E-Luna does not have much cosmetic changes then the 70-80s Iconic Luna. E-Luna is lightweight and utility focused moped. Kinetic Green has continued the legacy of reliability, pocket friendly and performance as OG Luna.
E-Luna equipped with 2 kWh battery pack which charging efficiency of 4 hours which is impressive. The claimed range is 110 Km in single charge. Top speed is 50 km/hr and peak torque 22 Nm.
E-Luna gets a digital LCD dash provides essential information. A USB charging port as well.The automaker has closely thought about features of today’s world.
E-Luna Production Plan:
E-Luna will be manufactured by the Kinetic Electric Limited who is the sister company of Kinetic Green and Power Solutions Ltd at Ahmednagar plant. They aimed to manufacture 5000 units every month and may increase the production on demand. The facility is equipped with 30 advanced welding machines, primarily tasked with assembling the chassis and subcomponents. Additionally, KEL has significantly enhanced its paint, press, and fabrication facilities, with a substantial investment exceeding Rs 3 crore. The production of components for the E-Luna is projected to add Rs 30 crore annually to KEL’s revenue over the coming 2-3 years.
E-Luna Price, Variants and Colors:
E-Luna has strategically priced the electric moped at Rs 69,990 for the X1 trim and Rs 74,990 for the X2 trim (both ex-showroom Delhi and introductory).
Available in Mulberry Red, Ocean Blue, Pearl Yellow, Sparkling Green, and Night Star Black.
E-Luna will be mostly sold in tier 2 and tier 3 cities where most of the India’s population resides.
