Skoda revealed first sketch of the new Octavia. The digital worldwide premiere is scheduled for 14th February.
Škoda Auto has unveiled exterior sketches of the updated Octavia, marking the continuation of its iconic model’s legacy. With over seven million units sold since its 1996 debut, the fourth-generation Octavia introduces a refined exterior boasting new headlights, redesigned bumpers, and an updated Škoda grille. The digital global premiere is slated for February 14th.
“Revitalising and evolving the design characteristics of our brand icons is both a demanding and fascinating task. For the Octavia’s latest update, we have reimagined the bumpers and the Škoda grille. At the same time, we have sharpened the contours of the headlights, lending our bestseller an even more striking and sporty appearance. With this fresh look and new features, such as second-generation LED Matrix beam headlights, the Octavia will continue to captivate everyday explorers in the coming years.” Oliver Stefani, Head of Škoda Design
Octavia Design:
Building on its success, the Octavia undergoes a facelift four years into its fourth generation, retaining its hatchback and Combi estate variants while adding Sportline and RS versions to the lineup. Notable enhancements include advanced second-generation LED Matrix beam headlights with a new lighting signature for improved road illumination. These headlights feature Crystallinium, a distinctive crystalline element lending a unique blue hue to the interior of the headlight housing, further enhancing the vehicle’s aesthetic appeal.
Octavia’s Legacy:
Having secured its place as Europe’s most popular estate car since 2016, the refreshed Octavia looks poised to continue its winning streak. With numerous awards under its belt, including the prestigious Red Dot Award for outstanding product design in 2020, the Octavia remains a benchmark of excellence in the automotive industry.
