Triumph Speed Twin 900 Gets Sleek Updates for 2025: New Design and Features

Triumph has officially updated its popular Triumph Speed Twin 900 for 2025, making significant changes in its design and feature set. This update follows the recent revamp of the larger Speed Twin 1200, but unlike the 1200, the 900’s engine remains unchanged. The focus here is on a sleeker aesthetic and enhanced mechanical components, making the new Speed Twin 900 even more appealing to modern classic enthusiasts.

Key Highlights:

  • Sleeker design with full-LED headlight and shorter fenders.
  • New non-adjustable Marzocchi USD fork for improved handling.
  • TFT dash replaces the single-pod display, offering a modern touch.
  • Michelin Road Classic tyres with 100/90-18 (front) and 150/70-R17 (rear).
  • Same 900cc engine producing 65hp, now with optional cruise control and heated grips.

Sleeker Design & Advanced Features

The biggest shift in the 2025 Speed Twin 900 is its design. Taking cues from the 1200, the 900 now sports a minimalist look, featuring a full-LED headlight, shorter fenders, and a clean, more streamlined tail-light. The model is available in three distinct colors: white, silver, and black. Additionally, Triumph offers more than 120 accessories directly from its catalogue, allowing riders to customize their bikes according to their preferences.

New USD Fork for Enhanced Performance

In terms of mechanical updates, the Speed Twin 900 gets a significant upgrade with a non-adjustable Marzocchi USD fork. This replaces the outgoing telescopic unit, giving the bike better handling and a more responsive front end. Marzocchi also supplies the twin rear shock absorbers, ensuring a smoother ride.

The braking system has also been improved. The 310mm front disc and axial Brembo caliper have been swapped out for a larger 320mm disc paired with a Triumph-branded radial caliper, giving the bike enhanced braking power.

Updated Tyres & Ergonomics

Triumph has kept the tyre sizes the same as before—100/90-18 (front) and 150/70-R17 (rear)—but the compound has been updated to Michelin Road Classic tyres. These provide better grip and durability, enhancing the riding experience, especially in varied conditions.

The seat height has also seen a slight increase to 780mm, up from 765mm in the previous model. However, riders can opt for the accessory low seat, which reduces the height to 760mm, ensuring more comfort and accessibility.

Triumph Speed Twin 900 :Modern Tech & Same Robust Engine

One of the most notable upgrades is the new TFT dash, which replaces the single-pod digi-analogue display found in older models. This modern interface is the same unit seen on the bigger Speed Twin 1200 models and provides better clarity and usability. The switchgear, too, is shared with the larger Speed Twin, making it more intuitive.

For rider convenience, Triumph has introduced advanced electronics, including Road and Rain riding modes, cornering ABS, and traction control. While the engine remains the same—producing 65hp at 7,500rpm and 80Nm of torque at 3,800rpm—the Speed Twin 900 now comes with optional cruise control and heated grips, making it an even more versatile machine for long-distance rides.

Triumph Speed Twin 900:Pricing & Availability

International pricing for the 2024 Speed Twin 900 has not yet been announced. However, the current model is priced at GBP 8,795 (approximately Rs 8.49 lakh in India), and it remains to be seen how Triumph adjusts the price for this updated version.

In summary, Triumph’s updates to the Speed Twin 900 make it more stylish, feature-packed, and versatile than ever, cementing its place as one of the most affordable and desirable bikes in the modern classic segment.
